Editorial standards

These standards describe how CalcRaven creates, checks, updates and corrects its calculators and guides.

Accuracy

Every calculator uses standard formulas and is checked against independently worked examples before publishing. Explanations, examples and FAQs are written to be correct, clear and useful, and the numbers in worked examples are recalculated whenever a page changes.

Sources

Where a page relies on rules set by others, such as tax rules or deposit insurance limits, we use official sources, including government agencies and regulators, and say what the figure is based on.

How content is produced

We use software tools, including AI, to help draft and check content. Calculators and pages are checked against worked examples and automated tests before they are published, and we remain responsible for everything on the site.

Updates

Each calculator shows the date it was last updated. Pages that depend on figures that change, such as tax brackets or contribution limits, are reviewed when those figures change and at least once a year.

Corrections

If you find an error, email hello@calcraven.com. We review every report. When we confirm an error, we fix it, update the page’s date and, for significant corrections to a result, note the change on the page.

Independence and advertising

Results are never sponsored. Advertisers and partners have no influence over how calculators work or what they show. If we add advertising or affiliate links in future, they will be clearly separated from calculator results, and affiliate links will be disclosed on the pages where they appear.

Not advice

Our content is general information and education. It is not financial, tax, legal or professional advice, and it doesn’t consider anyone’s personal situation.
